
Stress is the reaction of our organism to situations that we perceive as “threatening”. Although an adequate and temporary level of stress can help us face certain challenges i our daily life, we now know that intense and prolonged stress levels can have serious effects on our health. Among others, these include fatigue, insomnia, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, impulsivity, anxiety, and depression.
In this interactive workshop we will discuss the causes and symptoms of stress, as well as learn how to recognize, cope and manage stress at the physiological, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral level in order to promote healthy habits, a balance life, and greater resilience. By developing personal action plans, and examining habits that help you cope with stress we will feel more empowered to manage stressful situations.
