
Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present in the “here and now”, with an active and non-judging attitude. It implies being conscious of our inner and outer experience. Cultivating this quality of the mind, we perceive our inner world of thoughts, physical sensations, and emotions with grater clarity, as well as increasing our connection and awareness of the environment that surrounds us.
For several years, Mindfulness has been incorporated as a “third generation” tool in psychology with scientifically proven effects on our physical and mental body. Nowadays, it is well known that this practice increases our immune system, ad decreases depression, anxiety, stress, and pain. In addition, it is a tool that helps us increases our concentration, performance, self-awareness, self-acceptance, emotional management, and life satisfaction.
This interactive workshop provides you with an overview of mindfulness practice and its different applications in everyday life. We will explore ways in which this technique can help us, for instance, manage our emotions with greater awareness and greater capacity to choose to respond consciously in different situations.
